A Bit of Catching up to Do…

(I love this picture of Madelyn in her daddy’s Lebron James jersey. I doesn’t really have anything to do with the post, but thought you’d enjoy seeing a more recent picture of our little stinker bean.)

God’s Faithfulness and Provision Continues

I realized that Ben and I never had the chance to update folks on the many ways God continues to be faithful towards us as we prepare to move to Maryland. (Now officially less than a month away! If you’re really quiet, you might be able to hear me screaming in anticipation.) We really cannot believe that this is actually happening! And even more amazing, we are seeing tangible ways that God is blessing it. One huge example of this is in the host family we have been assigned to. Ben and I had been praying for a situation like this: a family with older kids so that we could learn and grow from their example, and a house with some sort of private living space for us. Well, God provided exactly that! The family we will be living with for the next 9 months have three children, ages 9, 11, and 15. They are generously allowing us to use two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and their finished basement for private living space. We’ve had the chance to be in communication with them over the phone, through emails, and their 15 year old daughter has even written us a letter which included photos of the house and family. They are a kind and generous family (who seem to be lots of fun!) and we feel so blessed to be able to get to know them throughout this upcoming year! If you think of it, please pray for us as we continue to prepare for the move. In the upcoming weeks we will transition AJ’s nursery into a packing room and move AJ into Maddie’s room to prepare them to be room-buddies. I’ll keep you posted in the antics and excitement that creates!!! 🙂
