Ladies Night at the Family Room
Last Friday Covenant Life Church held a “Ladies Only” edition of the Family Room. The Family Room is a meeting held one Friday a month at CLC. Grant Layman, a pastor at CLC, shared the vision for the Family Room. He said: “There are two primary reasons why we are gathering for the Family Room. The first reason is to strengthen our marriages and the second is to help us become better parents.” The focus of the Ladies Night meeting was to answer the question: “What does it mean to be a woman?” Carolyn Mahaney answered this question for us and she did an excellent job. If you’re interested, you can listen to it and answer application questions here.
Once again, CLC did an amazing job creating an atmosphere for the women of the church to relax, unwind, and learn. Along with Carolyn’s teaching, there were two testimonies, a funny video, and an amazing musical number…set to the tune of Mary Poppin’s music. Now Maddie and I are going through a big-time Mary Poppin’s phase, or as Maddie calls it “Poppys!,” so I was really wishing Maddie could have joined me. I can see her dancing in the aisles now! If CLC posts that video, I’ll have to post it here. Unfortunately, I think I’ll just butcher it if I give an attempt to recreate it for you here!!
