A.J. Memory #3–His Frenulechtomy and God’s Faithfulness

A.J. around the time of this frenulechtomy

When most people hear how big Anderson was at birth they are amazed–sometimes that mommy could handle delivering a baby that big, but mostly because when you look at Anderson, he does not look like a baby who was big at birth. Ben and I look back and think of his birth weight, 10 pounds 6 ounces, as the kindness and providence of God.

Little did we know when A.J. was born that he was tongue-tied. This condition caused him to lose a bit of weight in the beginning, and though for the most part he was able to mantain his weight, he actually didn’t gain any significant weight for the first 3 to 4 months. Had our little guy been a small baby at birth, losing weight could have caused some concerns, but God allowed our A.J. to have enough fat on him to be safe. To read old posts during that time, read here and here. Thank you Lord for caring for us!
